Traveling the world as a retail buyer, multiple times a year, our trips would always begin in LA. The plane would arrive at 7 am, and we would be through custom's and to the hotel by 9.30, showered, eaten breakfast and ready to hit the stores by 10.
We would always stay down at Santa Monica, so my first sights of LA would always be the wide expanse of the palm tree fringed beach. Early morning the footpaths would be lined with muscle hewn fitness freaks, or people still partying from the night before, interspersed with the inevitable homelessness that lines the streets of LA.
By the end of that first day shopping, when jet lag, zero sleep from the 15-hour flight had taken hold we would sit on the balcony and watch the sun go down.
Palm Trees at sunset will always remind me of LA.
What we love about these bamboo cups, is that they are dishwasher safe, lightweight, and really natural in texture. They are a great size for both regular or large size coffees or chai.
The great thing about these reusable coffee cups is they can be soaked in water, then buried in the garden for compost. Unlike plastic or glass alternatives they are fully biodegradable.
The silicon lids can also be placed in the recycle bin for recycling.
Do: Treat them with care, so they last for years. They are a natural material.
Don't: put them in the microwave.
But please, if you have the time to grab a coffee, why not take five minutes for yourself, and sit and savour it at the coffee shop.
If you really can't then for the planet's sake, grab a keep cup, because 1 billion cups going to landfill, that's just crazy.
